Crispy-creamy, sweet-sour and slightly spicy, the oriental fasting salad is a simple joy, available to anyone.

If you boil potatoes in their skins for a long time, you can keep them cold for 2-3 days and peel them when you want to make one of these great salads.
Fasting potato salad is normally made only with onion rings and sprinkled with oil and vinegar. My salad also brings colors to the plate: tomatoes, cucumbers, green onions. It is much healthier than the old version.
This recipe is suitable for a menu of Diet Rina & # 8211 day of starches (with potatoes).

Oriental salad (fasting)
-1. Wash the potatoes and boil them in their skins in salted water for 35-40 minutes. I take them out of the pot and place them on a wooden chopper to cool.

4. In a large bowl, place the potatoes, onions, garlic, cucumber slices, radishes, olives and tomatoes. Add freshly chopped parsley over the oriental salad and mix.
5. For the vinaigrette sauce, vigorously mix the olive oil with the vinegar and add a pinch of salt. Pour the sauce over the oriental salad, add freshly ground black pepper and mix. Serve immediately or leave it in the cold for a maximum of one hour. This salad can be served with a tender steak.
Oriental salad preparation
Peel the potatoes and boil them with a spoonful of salt. If they are large, you can cut them into 2 or 4.
Check if they are cooked with the tip of a fork. Potatoes are the basis of oriental salad so be careful not to boil them too much so that they do not crush, but not at all to be raw. After they have boiled, put them in a strainer and pour cold water over them.
Cut the red onion into juliennes, as well as the kapia pepper. Cut the green onion as small as possible.

Oriental Fasting Salad Preparation:
Boil the potatoes in their skins in salted water. Then clean and cut the slices into a bowl. We cut the cucumbers into rounds or cubes, we do the same with the donut. Cut the onion into juliennes. Oriental vegan salad & # 8211 The ideal fasting food
Oriental salad is one of the most popular and easiest dishes to make in Romanian cuisine. It is usually made with potatoes and boiled egg but you can make tasty food even with fasting ingredients.
Today I chose to make a fasting recipe, especially since it is the period of Orthodox fasting. You are probably looking for a fasting version for oriental salad, that's why you are on my recipe page.
It is an easy, quick recipe that you can prepare for lunch or dinner. You can enjoy a special taste even if it is vegan, if you know how to choose the ingredients and especially if you know how to put them all together.
Vegan oriental savory ingredient
To prepare this recipe, you need the following ingredients:
- 5 medium-sized potatoes (boiled or baked, I prefer baked)
- lettuce of any kind according to preferences
- valerian, arugula, germs
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 grated carrot
- 1 bunch of green onions or 1 dried onion (green onions taste better and look better)
- 3 cucumbers (I prefer pickles)
- 1 avocado
- 3 ridichi
- 1 bunch of dill (you can use parsley, I prefer dill in oriental salad)
- 1 squeezed lemon (if you don't put pickles)
- 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt never, to taste
Every ingredient is important
I recommend you to use salt never. It is true that in stores, you only find iodized salt. You can also find salt in the plafar and health food stores.
Iodized salt should be the exception and not the rule. I don't understand why everywhere, you only find iodized salt. How healthy or not iodized salt is remains a topic for another article.
If you do not have green onions, you can use dried onions. I recommend you to choose red onions to look better and you know how to say: & # 8221 we eat with our eyes & # 8221.
You can put any green or red bell peppers and even donuts. I like to use red peppers because it gives color and special appearance at the end.
The order of the ingredients
We finish the pickled olives and cucumbers after we have tasted the salad. We need to make sure we don't add too much salt. Keep in mind that olives can also be salty. You don't want to make it too salty, especially if you put pickled cucumbers.
You can use fresh cucumbers if you want. In this case, you need lemon juice to sour the salad at the end.
I like pickles very much so I always choose to put pickles. In addition to the delicious sour taste, pickles contain probiotics, so important for a healthy microbiome. In other words, they are good for digestion because they support healthy bacteria in the gut.
The best pickles are those that have undergone a fermentation process in brine, not vinegar. They are healthier and if you know how to make them they are really delicious.

Let the potatoes cool. We don't put them hot in the salad.
After the potatoes are ready, peel them and cut them into smaller pieces.
Mix the salad in a large bowl!
Put all the ingredients in a larger bowl so you can mix them easily.
Add salt first, then lemon and last olive oil.
Be careful, the way you mix and the order in which you put salt, lemon juice and olive oil is essential.
When you add salt, mix well. Then add the lemon and mix again. At the end add the oil and mix a little more.
You can enjoy oriental vegan salad next to a natural pomegranate juice, freshly squeezed.
